Oreo unveils new limited-edition flavour

Mondelēz International has launched a new limited-edition flavour into the Canadian and US markets under its Oreo brand. The new galaxy-inspired Oreo Space Dunk cookies feature layers of blue and pink marshmallow-flavoured creme infused with popping candy to provide a bursting sensation with each bite. Each cookie features one of five different galactic embossments and, for the first time ever for the Oreo brand, a small cut-out in the cookie itself, which allows consumers to peer into the colourful centre. Lexie Lubov, brand manager at Oreo, said the launch comes in a bid to "give fans new, unexpected ways to live our brand purpose and stay playful. That's why we're launching a first-of-its kind Oreo cookie." Michelle Deignan, VP at Oreo US, added: "Oreo cookies are all about transporting fans to a place full of excitement and childlike curiosity". This is the latest in a number of innovations for the Oreo brand. Last month Mondelēz launched a trio of new flavours, Oreo Gluten-Free Golden, Oreo Peanut Butter Cakesters and Oreo Black & White cookies. The limited-edition Oreo Space Dunk cookies will be available to purchase from 15 February in select retailers across Canada and the US.
