Dairy giant Saputo has expanded its portfolio with the launch of various new Wensleydale and Vandersterre cheeses, each offering a unique flavour profile.
Leading the line-up is the Mango Ginger Wensleydale, crafted in the Yorkshire Dales National Park in the UK. The cheese is blended with sweet juicy mango and warming notes of ginger.
Saputo’s Hot & Spicy Cheddar adds a bold twist to the classic English cheddar, blending its rich creaminess with red bell peppers, crushed chilli and jalapeños. The cheese is finished with a mix of herbs, delivering a spicy kick.
The Kaamps Estate Pizza Gouda Wedge is a Dutch farmstead cheese infused with chunks of black olives, tomatoes, and oregano, often known as ‘pizza cheese’.
Next, the Kaamps Estate Maple Whiskey Wedge brings an innovative twist, with curds washed in maple syrup whiskey during production. The result is a cheese with a woody character and a sweet yet slightly acidic finish, complemented by the natural sweetness of milk from cows grazed on clover pastures in the Netherlands.
Rounding out the collection is the Landa Jersey XO Wedge, which is naturally ripened on wooden shelves for a minimum of 18 months. This aging process produces a firm texture with fine salt and protein crystals.
Saputo also plans to release a truffle cheddar in the coming weeks.
