TricorBraun has signed an agreement to acquire German glass packaging distributor, Gläser & Flaschen. Founded in 2003, Gläser & Flaschen supplies glass packaging for food and ingredients as well as mason jars and cooking accessories, serving both the commercial and consumer markets. The company has a distribution and operations centre in Wustermark, Brandenburg. The acquisition, which is expected to close in November, will see TricorBraun expand its European presence. Once completed, Gläser & Flaschen will operate as Gläser & Flaschen, a TricorBraun company. "Gläser & Flaschen has built a strong business known for its quality, innovation and technical expertise," said Declan McCarthy, president of TricorBraun Europe. "We are pleased to partner with the outstanding Gläser & Flaschen team to offer more supply chain options to customers while investing in their continued growth and expansion."
