Unilever has announced a recall of approximately 137,000 cases of its Popsicle Jolly Rancher Frozen Confection Pop products in the US due to the presence of undeclared milk.
The company said that milk, which is not listed as an ingredient on the label, may pose a risk to individuals with milk allergies or sensitivities. Two allergic reactions have been reported.
Unilever stated that the recall affects only single-serve Popsicle Jolly Rancher Frozen Confection Pop products sold individually, typically through ice cream trucks, concession stands and grab-and-go freezers across the US. It does not include the 18-count multi-packs available in grocery stores and retailers nationwide.
The products were distributed nationwide to wholesale distributors and operators between 1 February to 15 August 2024. The relevant UPC and lot codes are printed on the outside wrapper.
The business confirmed that no other Unilever or Popsicle products were affected by this recall. Unilever also advised consumers to contact the company for reimbursement, providing proof of purchase.
