US-based beverage producer Welch Foods is set to launch its new line of zero sugar juices this fall, aiming to cater to health-conscious consumers without sacrificing flavour.
The new Welch's Zero Sugar line addresses a growing demand for flavourful, no-sugar options in the juice market.
According to Scott Utke, chief marketing officer at Welch's, consumer feedback indicated a significant gap in the availability of zero-sugar juices that deliver on taste.
"Our team worked tirelessly to innovate a line of zero-sugar juices that are bursting with the bold, fruit flavours Welch's is known for," he said.
The product line will feature two refrigerated flavours - Passion Fruit and Grape - in 59oz cartons, alongside three shelf-stable options: Tropical Punch, Strawberry and Concord Grape, available in both multi-serve (64oz) and single-serve (10oz) sizes.
Each serving aims to provide a vibrant fruit flavour profile with zero grams of sugar and an excellent source of vitamin C, fulfilling 20% of the daily value.
The introduction of Welch's Zero Sugar juices comes at a time when consumers are increasingly seeking healthier beverage alternatives.
The global shift towards low-sugar and no-sugar products has prompted many food and beverage manufacturers to innovate their offerings.
Welch's move reflects a broader industry trend where brands are adapting to changing consumer preferences and dietary considerations.
The new Zero Sugar line will be available nationwide starting 1 September 2024, in both juice aisles and refrigerated sections.
