AB InBev invests $8m in US brewery

Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) has announced an $8 million investment in its St Louis, Missouri, US, brewery.

Over the past five years, the company has invested nearly $2 billion to enhance its operations nationwide, aiming to support job creation and boost local economies.

Brendan Whitworth, CEO of AB InBev, said: “Our continued investments in our St Louis brewery benefit not only our local team, but also our hometown, which continues to be a core part of our identity after more than 165 years...these investments help ensure that we not only have the infrastructure but also the people and talent to build on our legacy for generations to come.”

Since 2019, the company has invested over $165 million toward its St Louis campus, including the reopening of its Technical Excellence Center. The centre, designed to advance skills and opportunities for the workforce, has served 1,500 employees from facilities across the US since its reintroduction.

Kyle Topping, senior general manager of St Louis Brewery, commented: “These continued investments are vital for ensuring we can carry our legacy forward for future generations, while giving back to the town that has already given us so much.”

AB InBev also pledged nearly $1 million this year to broader economic initiatives in St Louis, focusing on areas like skills training, entrepreneurship and education through contributions to local organisations.
