UK canned fruit brand Del Monte has launched frozen British strawberries, available exclusively in Iceland stores across the country. The strawberries are grown in Norfolk, benefiting from the region's ideal climate and soil conditions. Hand-picked at peak ripeness, the strawberries are immediately frozen to preserve their flavour and nutritional value. Martin Tilney, senior commercial director for foods for Europe at Del Monte, said: “We are thrilled to introduce our frozen British strawberries to the market. Our strawberries are not just a product of local farming; they represent our dedication to quality. By freezing them at the height of freshness, we offer consumers a superior product they can enjoy all year.” Del Monte British Strawberries are currently available for £2.25 at Iceland stores.
