UK pizza wholesaler Doughboys Pizza has unveiled a new frozen pizza range, launching with Ocado on 21 July. The range includes Classic Margherita, Spicy Salami, Veggie Giardino and Prosciutto and Mushroom. Doughboys’ pizzas use natural and fresh ingredients including 100% Emilia Romagna tomato pulp and Fior di latte mozzarella. They will be priced at £4.95 per pizza. The company said its mission is to change the perception of pizza being a low-quality, highly processed meal by offering “restaurant-quality pizzas at an accessible price point”. It describes its range as being "lower in calories and saturated fats than many other frozen pizzas on offer", with the Veggie Giardino containing 376 kcal per half pizza.
