D2C frozen meals company Field Doctor has launched a new ‘companion’ range for customers using weight management programmes.
Claimed to be a first of its kind in the UK, the launch aims to support consumers on their weight loss journeys, such as those using GLP-1 receptor agonist medications. The range has been designed by Field Doctor’s dietitian, Laura Tilt, in partnership with registered dietitian Abbey Hookey, who specialises in obesity, to cater to the needs of those using such programmes and treatments.
Tilt said: “We know that eating well becomes even more important with a reduced appetite. Our weight management ‘companion’ meals can help you meet your nutritional needs, with portion sizes that can be adjusted as your appetite changes with your treatment.”
The meals in the range are nutrient-dense, high in protein to maintain muscle mass, offer a source of fibre, vitamins and minerals, and are portion-controlled to suit reduced appetites that are experienced during certain weight management treatments like GLP-1 drugs.

Delivered frozen directly to consumers' doors, they can be heated and ready to eat within minutes. The range includes Chicken, Pea and Asparagus Risotto, Italian Meatballs, and a Red Pesto and Roasted Vegetable Penne.
It has been proven that eating a healthy, balanced diet alongside using weight loss treatments can support energy levels, maintain muscle mass and manage side effects like nausea and constipation. With this in mind, Field Doctor’s ‘companion’ meals are made with whole food ingredients like vegetables, wholegrains and beans, and each is made using only extra virgin olive oil.
Field Doctor was founded in Bath, UK in 2020 to deliver dietitian-designed, chef-made frozen ready meals to busy customers around the UK and into healthcare sectors. All Field Doctor meals are underpinned by peer-reviewed nutrition research, aiming to help people enjoy food that fits their dietary requirements and needs.
