Little Bites Snacks launches lower sugar muffins

Bimbo Bakeries USA-owned brand Little Bites has added its 'first-ever' lower sugar muffins within its baked snacks range. Available in both apple cinnamon and chocolate flavours, the muffins are said to feature less sugar and ingredients like apple and chocolate with a touch of hidden vegetables.

Little Bites Lower Sugar Apple Cinnamon Mini Muffins contain 9g of sugar – 40% less than the leading blueberry mini muffins – and are made with real apples and hidden zucchini, with no artificial colours. Meanwhile, Little Bites Lower Sugar Chocolate Mini Muffins contain 8g of sugar – 60% less than the leading brownie mini muffins – and are made with real chocolate and hidden sweet potato. Lia Arakelian, brand manager for Little Bites, said: "We're thrilled to introduce the new lower sugar mini muffins to our product line, which have been designed to provide families with the delicious taste they know and love, but with less sugar, real ingredients like apple and chocolate, and a touch of hidden veggies". "We recognise the need for more better-for-you snacking options for children and adults, and we're proud to be introducing these new lower sugar offerings." Little Bites lower sugar muffins are currently available at US grocery retailers.
