Mars launches new Galaxy caramel cake

Mars Chocolate Drinks and Treats (MCD&T) has announced the launch of a new Galaxy caramel cake. The chocolate sponge cake features pockets of gooey caramel sauce, topped with rich chocolate frosting, chocolate buttons and a caramel drizzle. The new flavour will join the brand's existing MCD&T range of small sharing cakes, including Maltesers cake, Galaxy triple chocolate cake and Mars chocolate and caramel cake. Michelle Frost, general manager at Mars Chocolate Drinks & Treats, said: “With eight servings, our Galaxy Chocolate Caramel Cake is perfect for smaller occasions, sharing with colleagues and friends, or as a family weekend treat". “Brands continue to play an important role within the category, and we believe that the combination of the smooth taste of Galaxy and the ever-popular caramel favour will appeal to a wide range of customers.” Galaxy caramel cake is currently available from Tesco and Sainsbury’s for £4.00.
