Molson Coors to invest £10m in Aspall Cyder

Molson Coors to invest £10m in Aspall Cyder

Molson Coors Beverage Company plans to invest £10 million in its Aspall Cyder House in Suffolk, UK, over the next five years.

This is part of a wider £100 million investment in its UK brewery and beverage network.

The investment will fund major upgrades to production and packaging at the Aspall site, aiming to increase operational efficiency. Additionally, it will help Molson Coors achieve its goal of reaching carbon net zero for direct emissions (scopes 1 and 2) in the UK by 2035.

This follows a £13 million investment completed in 2022 to expand capacity at Aspall, which helped meet the growing demand for the brand’s super premium cider.

Damian Mills, head of supply chain at Aspall Cyder, said: “This plan is an important investment in the future of the Aspall Cyder House to help us meet demand for our ciders and vinegars, while making strong progress against our sustainability targets."

“Molson Coors’ latest investment will ensure we can continue to grow the brand while protecting the site’s heritage and continuing our commitment to the very highest quality.”

Aspall, which employs over 130 people in Suffolk, already uses 100% renewable electricity in its production, contributing to Molson Coors' progress towards net zero emissions by 2035.
