Global packaging company Mondi has completed a €90m investment upgrade of its Mszczonów plant near Warsaw, Poland, doubling the site’s capacity.
Following the upgrade, Mondi said the plant is now Poland’s largest for corrugated packaging solutions, and one of the biggest in Europe. It is designed to meet the needs of manufacturers requiring sustainable and high-quality packaging innovations.
The company revealed it will host an event inviting customers to explore the upgraded plant and engage with Mondi experts on packaging innovation, trends and circular solutions.
This latest investment forms part of Mondi’s wider €280 million investment in corrugated packaging operations across central and eastern Europe.
This also includes the recently completed €95 million investment in its mill in Świecie, Poland, to increase the mill’s production capacity and enhance product quality while strengthening its sustainability profile.
Andrzej Archacki, of Mondi Corrugated Solutions Poland, said: “We understand the responsibility that comes with packaging the valuable items of our customers, making sure they are protected and offer a great unboxing experience. With this investment, we can now offer an even greater level of quality and service, and our experienced team is truly excited about the benefits this will bring our customers.”
