Pepperidge Farm has extended the sourdough trend beyond the bakery aisle with the launch of a new range of Sourdough Cookies.
The new collection combines real sourdough with speciality ingredients to create a soft, chewy cookie, the brand says.
The range is inspired by the growing popularity of sourdough, which Pepperidge Farm describes as the '#1 most talked-about bakery trend for 2026'.
The collection launches in three flavours: Dark Chocolate Sourdough with Brown Butter, Cinnamon Sugar Sourdough with Vanilla Bean and White Chocolate Sourdough with Raspberry.
Dark Chocolate Sourdough with Brown Butter combines dark chocolate chunks with brown butter flavour, while Cinnamon Sugar Sourdough with Vanilla Bean features cinnamon, crunchy pearl sugar and vanilla.
The third variant, White Chocolate Sourdough with Raspberry, pairs white chocolate chips with raspberry flavour.
Pepperidge Farm Sourdough Cookies will launch exclusively at Walmart in the US in October 2026, priced at $5.89.
The range will then roll out nationwide from January 2027 through retailers including Kroger, Target and Amazon.
The launch comes as brands increasingly explore sourdough across formats, moving the fermentation-led trend beyond traditional bread and bakery products into new snacking and indulgence occasions.
