Rémy Cointreau has announced that CEO Éric Vallat will step down from his role this summer after more than five years in charge.

In an statement, Rémy says that Vallat is leaving to pursue a new career path.
The company’s board, chaired by Marie-Amélie de Leusse, has begun the search for his successor. De Leusse will oversee the transition to ensure business continuity and implementation of the group’s long-term strategy.
Vallat’s tenure included navigating the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, driving growth and managing recent economic and geopolitical volatility. De Leusse said: "Under his leadership, the group has implemented a portfolio strategy that has enabled us to gain market share for our liqueurs and spirits division, develop an efficient and effective digital plan and strengthen the transition to sustainable development. We wish him every success in his future endeavors."
Vallat added: “It is with immense gratitude and deep emotion that I reflect on my career at Rémy Cointreau. I will leave the group with the feeling of having strengthened its fundamentals, and convinced that my future successor will be able to rely on strong brands to prepare for the recovery and give new impetus to our value strategy. I will be fully involved until the effective date of my departure to enable a successful transition."
"I would like to warmly thank all the employees with whom I had the pleasure of working during these five exciting years, the board of directors to whom I owe a great deal, and my executive committee who supported me throughout my term.”
