Developed in collaboration with Hampshire-based Powder Monkey Brewing Co, the new RTD combines a crisp lager with a classic margarita profile, tapping into growing consumer demand for hybrid alcoholic beverages and fruit-led beer flavours.
Described by the brand as “the lovechild of a zesty margarita and a crisp lager,” the 4% ABV serve blends Powder Monkey Brewing Co’s easy-drinking lager with The Drinks Bureau’s award-winning margarita recipe. The resulting product is positioned as a 'light, sessionable option' aimed at summer social occasions, including barbecues, picnics and major sporting events.
The 330ml canned Lagerita is launching nationwide in Morrisons stores at an RRP of £2.60 per can ahead of the busy summer trading period and the upcoming World Cup season.
The launch comes as fruit-led beer continues to outperform the wider beer category in the UK. According to Alpine Online analysis of NIQ data, fruit lager sales rose 21.3% year-on-year in the 52 weeks to 18 April 2026, despite total beer category sales declining by 1%.
Frankie Snobel, founder of The Drinks Bureau, said the product was “Something fun enough for cocktail lovers but still familiar for fruit beer fans."
Founded in 2023, The Drinks Bureau has quickly built a reputation within the RTD category for flavour-led cocktail innovation and playful branding. Its portfolio includes Spicy Margarita, Espresso Martini, Passion Fruit Martini, Lychee Martini and Strawberry Daiquiri canned cocktails.
