Aldi has launched a new range of German-themed snacks and beverages to celebrate Oktoberfest, aiming to attract shoppers looking for festive flavours as the Bavarian beer festival approaches.

The supermarket chain introduced its Specially Selected German Pilsner Beer Hand Cooked Crisps, priced at £1.15 for a 150g bag. This limited-edition product combines two popular consumer favourites – crisps and beer – into a single snack offering.

In addition to the Pilsner crisps, Aldi is rolling out Bratwurst and Currywurst Sausage Hand Cooked Crisps, also priced at £1.15 per 150g bag. These snacks are positioned as ideal accompaniments to beer, capitalising on the growing trend of savoury snacks that complement alcoholic beverages.

The Oktoberfest range also includes Giant Pretzels and Pretzel Sticks, both available for 99p per 150g, catering to consumers seeking shareable snacks for gatherings. The addition of Baxter’s Kraut, priced at £1.89 for 480g, offers a tangy, fermented cabbage side dish that aligns with traditional German cuisine, enhancing the overall festive experience.

The launch reflects Aldi's strategy to enhance its product offerings in the competitive snack and beverage market, particularly during seasonal events that drive consumer spending.
