Anritsu has introduced a new X-ray inspection equipment, the XR75 DualX+, to the global fish processing industry.
The XR75 DualX+ employs photon counting technology, powered by a unique algorithm designed to identify low-density contaminants, such as fishbones, providing sharper images. Its dual energy sensor improves detection accuracy and reduces false rejection rates, ensuring high safety for fish products such as salmon, tuna, shredded fish, block fish and more.
The system is also effective in detecting poultry bones and other fine fragments. It has been optimised for thicker products and uneven surfaces, improving sensitivity to tiny bones and fine metals. The XR75 DualX+ meets strict global hygiene standards, reliably detecting contaminants smaller than 1mm, particularly in fish products thicker than 40mm.
The company expects the DualX+ to boost detection rates in the global fish processing industry, leading to improved consumer safety and higher product quality.
Michael Stuart, Anritsu’s European sales director, explained: “The new sensor has enabled the capture of high-resolution images and improved the performance in the detection of fine metals and small bones, routinely detecting contaminants of less than 1mm in diameter. This is especially noticeable with fish product applications that are thicker than 40mm. The DualX+ model is an incredible technological step forward.”
