Australian Dairy Nutritionals (AHF) has announced the appointment of Mahinthan 'Mahi' Sundaranathan as its new chief executive officer.
Sundaranathan, who has over 20 years of experience in the dairy industry across Australia, China and other Asian markets, will take over the reins from the outgoing CEO, Peter Skene, who has resigned after more than 14 years with the company.
In a statement, AHF chair Peter Nathan expressed his delight at Sundaranathan's appointment, stating that he has an "outstanding track record in delivering strong commercial outcomes in the dairy industry in both Australia and China".
With expertise in brand management, new product development and project management in the fast-moving consumer goods and dairy sectors, Sundaranathan is expected to bring a wealth of global insights and strategic planning capabilities to the role.
"Mahi has a deep knowledge of the infant formula category in China and we look forward to the fresh ideas and enthusiasm that Mahi will bring to the role as our new CEO," added Nathan.
Sundaranathan's appointment comes at a critical time for AHF, as the company looks to capitalise on the growing demand for organic and A2 dairy products, both in the domestic Australian market and internationally, particularly in China.
AHF is a vertically integrated Australian dairy group that owns high-quality organic and organic A2 dairy farms, as well as a processing facility located in Southwestern Victoria.
The group produces the Ocean Road Dairies Organic A2 infant formula range, which is Australia's first organic A2 infant formula made with farm-fresh Australian milk.
The announcement also outlined the key terms of Sundaranathan's executive services agreement, including a fixed remuneration of $350,000 per annum (exclusive of superannuation) and the potential for long-term incentives subject to shareholder approval.
