Butterworks Farm, an organic grass-fed dairy company based in Vermont, US, has announced its acquisition by three new owners.
The farm was founded by Jack and Anne Lazor in 1976, known for its 100% grass-fed organic products made from the milk of its Jersey cows. Its range includes yogurt, kefir and cream.
New owners Anthony Calderaro, Ania Kuniej and Joseph Calderaro said they are committed to ‘preserving the farm’s legacy,’ bringing a passion for organic farming and dedication to continuing the traditions established by the Lazors. They also plan to expand Butterworks Farm’s reach, aiming to offer its range of products to more customers across existing and new markets.
Over 48 years, the Lazors produced Vermont’s first organic yogurt and expanded into a licensed dairy business with a processing plant and 76 Jersey cows born and raised on the farm, supported by 400 acres of pastures and hayfields.
Commenting on their acquisition, the new owners said in a statement: “We are very excited to become the new owners of this 100% grass-fed organic dairy farm and to continue the cherished tradition started by Jack and Anne Lazor. We share their passion and vision for people, animals, and nature living in balance.”
