Corbion, a sustainable ingredient solutions provider, has acquired the bread improver business from Novotech Food Ingredients, based in Delhi, India.
This move enhances Corbion's footprint in the Asia Pacific region and aligns with its ongoing efforts to diversify its portfolio and expand geographically.
The acquisition allows Corbion to offer Indian bakers access to its extensive global customer support network, strengthening its market position and capacity to deliver tailored functional solutions.
Andy Muller, president of Corbion’s functional ingredients and solutions division, said: "This acquisition marks a significant strategic milestone for Corbion. By enlarging our footprint and augmenting our portfolio with products tailored to local market needs, we’re demonstrating our commitment to sustained growth in India."
The Novotech bread improver business is recognised for its high-quality, innovative solutions, making it a fitting addition to Corbion's existing offerings.
This integration will enable Corbion to provide a broader range of solutions that cater to diverse customer preferences in the Indian market.
Muller added: "Our worldwide network offers flexibility and confidence in sourcing, while local expertise adds significant value. This acquisition strengthens our capacity to deliver both a global approach and regional insights, ultimately enhancing the value we provide to our customers."
