Fam Stumabo has added the SureTec 240P to its range of potato cutting solutions.

The new cutting machine features the SureCut Unit (SCU), which is specially designed for potato processing – it has a reliable French fry cutter and dicer that delivers quality products while running at the 'highest capacities'.

The SCU allows the cutting components to be pre-assembled in one piece and with a pre-set cut size and enables non-technically trained operators to install the cutting tools on the machine quickly and without complications or errors. This ensures cutting accuracy from the first moment of each production run, maximising production uptime.

Additionally, the machine’s slipper clutch and slip detection system avoid costly downtimes and prevent the parts from severe damage or wear due to foreign objects, with the hinged electrical cabinet guaranteeing faster access to the drive area.

The SureTec 240P can process both white and sweet potatoes, whether they are peeled using an abrasive method or via steam-peeling. It can process potatoes into French fries, small sticks or diced cubes, with a variety of cut sizes and shapes – including crinkle, deep crinkle and flat fries.

The 240mm-wide drum enables long potatoes to be cut at full length. Various impellers with different numbers of paddles are also available to suit different sized products and to align them properly.

The machine delivers clean and accurate cuts, maximised length and minimised breakage and feathering.
