Functional snack brand Jimmybar! is expanding its performance nutrition offering with the launch of what it describes as the world's first protein bars to combine creatine and collagen in a clean-label, real-fruit format.
The new Jimmybar! Creatine Collagen Protein Bars will debut in Strawberry and Blueberry Lemon varieties, targeting consumers seeking comprehensive support for both muscle development and connective tissue health.
The launch builds on the company's position within the growing functional nutrition category, following its introduction of what it says was 'America's first' creatine protein bar.
The new products have been developed around what Jimmybar! calls the "Muscle and Connective Tissue Stack", combining protein, creatine and collagen in a single bar format.
By bringing the ingredients together in a convenient snack format, Jimmybar! is aiming to differentiate itself within an increasingly crowded protein bar market.
Jim Simon, co-founder of Jimmybar! said: "The Creatine Collagen Protein Bar is the result of years of listening to our customers, athletes, weekend warriors and everyday people who want to build muscle, protect their joints, and feel great in their skin. Creatine and collagen are the ultimate stack for anyone who moves their body. We're proud to be the first to put both in a bar made with real fruit and nothing artificial. This is functional nutrition done right."
Alongside functional benefits, Jimmybar! is emphasising the products' clean-label positioning, a trend that continues to influence purchasing decisions in the sports nutrition category.
The Strawberry variety contains real strawberry pieces, while the Blueberry Lemon flavour features real blueberries and natural lemon flavouring. According to the company, the bars contain no artificial flavours, colours or sweeteners, aligning with consumer demand for more recognisable ingredient lists within performance-focused products.
The combination of sports nutrition ingredients with whole-food positioning reflects a broader shift in the category, as brands seek to attract mainstream consumers alongside traditional fitness enthusiasts.
Founded in 2014, Jimmybar! has built its portfolio around multifunctional formulations, with products featuring ingredients including plant-based caffeine, omega-3 fatty acids, MCT oil and turmeric.
The company says its innovation strategy focuses on combining emerging nutritional science with clean-label principles.
The new Creatine Collagen Protein Bars will initially be available through Jimmybar!'s direct-to-consumer website and TikTok Shop, with broader retail distribution planned in the coming months.
The brand's existing creatine protein bars are currently stocked by major retailers including GNC, Costco, Sam's Club, Cumberland Farms and Chevron ExtraMile, reflecting continued expansion within the convenience and speciality retail channels.
