Kind Snacks has announced the appointment of Daniel Calderoni as chief executive officer for North America. This move comes as the company aims to enhance its market presence and further its mission of promoting healthier snacking options.

Calderoni, who brings over two decades of experience in consumer brand leadership, will report directly to Blas Maquivar, global president of health and wellness at Mars Snacking.

His previous role was general manager for Mars Pet Nutrition in Canada, where he successfully oversaw a portfolio of well-known brands, including Pedigree and Iams. His tenure at Mars also includes significant leadership positions in emerging markets across Latin America.

Maquivar expressed confidence in Calderoni's ability to drive growth at Kind. “Daniel is highly regarded as a purpose and people-first leader, and we are excited that he brings a tremendous track record of growth to the Kind business,” he said.

As CEO, Calderoni will focus on advancing Kind's commitment to crafting snacks that are not only enjoyable but also beneficial for consumers and the environment. “An organisation’s purpose should be its true differentiator,” Calderoni said.

He continued: “That’s why I’m thrilled to join the leadership team at Kind Snacks, a brand whose products bring all 'Kind's of good to the world. Kind sparked the growth of an entirely new healthy snacking category back in 2004, and I’m eager to take part in leading the brand into its next chapter as we shape the future of snacking."

Kind Snacks has established itself as a key player in the snacking industry, with a diverse product line that includes over 80 different snacks made from real ingredients. The company has positioned itself as a healthier alternative in a market increasingly focused on nutrition and transparency.

Kind’s focus on clean ingredients and ethical sourcing aligns with growing consumer demand for transparency in food production. This trend has prompted many manufacturers to rethink their product offerings to meet evolving consumer preferences.
