Mars Chocolate Drinks and Treats has transformed two of its popular confectionery brands, Mars and Twix, into ice cream cones.
The Mars ice cream cone features a blend of dairy ice cream, caramel sauce and real milk chocolate topped with chocolate chips. Meanwhile, Twix ice cream cone is filled with a combination of caramel ice cream with caramel sauce wrapped in a wafer cone and topped with crunchy biscuit pieces.
Michelle Frost, General Manager at Mars Chocolate Drinks and Treats, said: “The brand familiarity and price point of Mars products have really allowed us to solidify our mid-market position, and for some of our core brands like Mars, the appetite for our classic products has still increased by a third. Developing the Mars and Twix brands into an ice cream cone format was a natural progression to give fans of the brands an alternative format to enjoy.”
The Mars ice cream will be available as a four-pack exclusively at Iceland stores from March, for an RRP of £3.50. While Twix ice cream will roll out at Asda and Iceland stores this month and through convenience and wholesale channels from next month for an RRP of £3.50.
