Noble Foods’ The Happy Egg Co is launching a new range of frozen omelettes into Morrisons stores across the UK in January 2025.

The new product line follows significant investment from the UK egg producer in its innovation and manufacturing hub located in Leicestershire, designed to produce a range of new egg-based foods. The company said it aims to diversify its product line while making nutritious, egg-based options more accessible.

Available in packs of two and four, the omelettes are made with free range eggs from The Happy Egg Co brand, as well as British extra mature cheddar and milk. They are launching in original and cheese flavours, designed for versatility and suitable for cooking in ovens, air fryers and microwaves. This aims to cater to the increasing popularity of air fryers, while retaining traditional omelettes’ light and fluffy texture.

The brand said the launch follows research showing 60% of consumers find making fresh omelettes inconvenient.

Anita Nutchey, head of marketing and innovation at Noble Foods, said: “Our goal was to create an innovative solution that meets the needs of busy, health-conscious individuals looking for tasty, affordable meal options”.

She continued: “With the debut of our first-ever frozen omelettes, we are answering consumer demand for convenient, high-protein and nutritious meal solutions that fit modern lifestyles. The state-of-the-art Leicester facility underscores our vision to redefine food innovation, blending the humble egg with a deep understanding of evolving consumer trends. This is more than a product launch; it’s a bold step toward shaping the future of innovative and accessible foods.”
