PepsiCo Beverages North America (PBNA) has opened a new 115,000-square-foot distribution facility in Colorado Springs.
The Colorado Springs facility will enable PBNA to quadruple its inventory capacity, ensuring that the company can continue to provide brands such as Pepsi, Gatorade, Celsius and Rockstar to Colorado residents and more widely, to US consumers.
The new site is equipped with sustainable solutions and innovative technologies to boost PBNA’s sustainability goals. Key features include solar power to charge delivery fleet pallet jacks, a roof designed to support future solar expansion, LED motion-controlled light fixtures and an EV conduit installation that will support future electrified fleet vehicles.
This is the latest in a number of PepsiCo investments. Earlier this week, the company unveiled plans to invest $160 million into a new salty snacks plant in the Almaty region of Kazakhstan. In May, the food giant unveiled an £8 million investment in its Pipers Crisps manufacturing site in the UK, and in April the company invested NR 12.66 billion (approx. $151.7 million) to build a new flavour manufacturing facility in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India.
