PepsiCo’s breakfast brand Quaker Oats has expanded its portfolio with the addition of a new flavour in its Protein range.

The new addition, Strawberries & Cream, is launching in sachet and pot format and joins the brand’s existing Golden Syrup and Peanut Butter flavours, after it launched the latter in April this year.

The Strawberries & Cream Protein oats contain soya protein – each sachet contains 9 grams of protein and each pot contains 12 grams of protein.

Divesh Parmar, Quaker UK general manager at PepsiCo, comments, “Demand for hot protein cereals shows no signs of slowing down, growing by over 20% in the last twelve months. While consumers are recognising the importance protein breakfast items play in supporting their overall wellbeing, we also know that younger shoppers are looking for different flavours and in particular more dessert flavours to enjoy.”

Parmar continued: “As the number one brand within hot cereals, we’re in a strong position to add more excitement to the segment. Our new Protein Strawberries & Cream flavour offers shoppers a unique flavour that will help to attract younger consumers to the market.”

The new flavour is available to purchase at UK retailers now.
