PepsiCo to invest $400m in two new plants in Vietnam – Reuters

PepsiCo is set to invest $400 million in Vietnam to build two new plants fuelled by renewable energy, according to Reuters. The announcement coincided with a three-day working visit to Vietnam from over 60 US enterprises, including PepsiCo and Suntory JV, Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Beverage. One beverage manufacturing facility, with an estimated cost exceeding $300 million, will be situated in Vietnam's southern Long An province. Additionally, another facility dedicated to food processing, with an investment of $90 million, will be located in the country's northern Ha Nam province. Reuters said that although the Vietnamese government's report did not give details on the commissioning time for the two factories, PepsiCo had previously stated its plans to start operations at the Ha Nam facility in the third quarter of 2025, after it had been granted an investment certificate late last year.
