PepsiCo-owned Rockstar Energy has introduced two new flavours to its energy drink portfolio: Punched Pineapple and Boom Piña Colada. These additions are designed to appeal to consumers seeking both flavour and energy in their beverage choices.

Rockstar Punched Pineapple features a pineapple flavour profile, delivering 240mg of caffeine per can. This formulation aims to provide an invigorating boost, targeting consumers looking for sustained energy. The product is priced at $1.88 per can and is available nationwide in US grocery and convenience stores.

Rockstar Boom Piña Colada combines whipped dairy flavours with traditional piña colada notes. Infused with 160mg of caffeine, this beverage offers a dessert-like experience while still providing an energy boost. It is also priced at $1.88 per can but will initially be available only in select Western US states.

The introduction of these tropical flavours aligns with a growing trend in the beverage industry, where consumers increasingly seek innovative flavour profiles in functional drinks.

The energy drink market has seen a shift towards products that not only provide energy but also cater to taste preferences, particularly in the wake of rising competition from both established brands and new entrants.

Rockstar's latest offerings aim to capitalise on this trend by combining tropical flavours with a significant caffeine content, which the brand claims can enhance alertness and reduce fatigue for up to five hours post-consumption, contingent on the caffeine dosage.
