Tesco debuts ten new chocolate bars

UK supermarket chain Tesco has introduced ten new chocolate block bars across its core Tesco and Tesco Finest ranges. Five new 180g block bars are entering the core range, inspired by popular favourites and all priced at £1.80. The Pretzel & Salt Bar combines milk chocolate with salted pretzel pieces, while the Crispies, Caramel & Almond Bar mixes the textures of rice crispies, almond nuts and caramel with milk chocolate. Also joining the core range are the Biscuit & Raisin and Pecan & Honeycomb bars, made with milk chocolate, and the Whole Hazelnut Bar with dark chocolate and whole roasted hazelnuts. The Tesco Finest chocolate bars aim to offer an “affordable yet indulgent” experience, priced at £1.60 per 100g bar. Working with the Transparence Cocoa programme and Rainforest Alliance, each bar features single-origin cocoa from South America or West Africa. The Peru Dark Chocolate Bar is an intense dark chocolate with notes of fruit and spices. Côte d'Ivoire Orange Chocolate Bar mixes dark chocolate with bursts of orange flavour, while Côte d'Ivoire Mint Chocolate Bar contains flavours of mint. Ecuador Dark Chocolate Bar features fragrant notes of vanilla, and the Dark Milk Chocolate Bar offers notes of deep cocoa. The new range is available in stores and online now.
