Diageo North America has announced plans to open a new manufacturing and warehousing facility in Montgomery, Alabama, US, with an investment of approximately $415 million.

The 360,000 square-foot facility, set to be fully operational by the second half of 2025, will boost the company’s production capacity, with the ability to produce millions of cases annually for its leading beverage alcohol brands.

The site is expected to enhance Diageo's North American supply chain operations and support its growing export business.

The new facility, named ‘Diageo Montgomery,’ will bring the company closer to its beverage distributors in the southern region of the US. Its strategic location aims to reduce road travel, contributing to lower carbon emissions associated with logistics operations. The facility will also incorporate 'state-of-the-art technology' to optimise water and energy efficiency.

This investment underscores our commitment to building greater resiliency into our supply chain across North America.”

The project will create approximately 750 jobs during the construction phase, and the facility will employ 100 full-time staff once operational.
