Frozen pizza manufacturer Palermo Villa has partnered with snack brand Cheez-It – part of the Kellanova portfolio – to launch a new range of frozen pizzas featuring a crust infused with Cheez-It’s signature cheese flavour.
The 12-inch pizzas feature a thin, crispy crust made with 100% real cheese and are available in three varieties: Italian Four Cheese, Pepperoni and Cheddar Jack Supreme. All three use the Cheez-It-flavoured crust as a base and are topped with standard pizza ingredients such as mozzarella, pepperoni, vegetables and sausage.
Nick Fallucca, chief innovation officer for Palermo’s, said: “Cheez-It Frozen Pizza brings the best of both categories. This starts with the crust, which is like a large Cheez-It flavoured cracker – crispy, cheesy and square-shaped. It’s then topped with customer-favourite toppings that perfectly complement the crust.”
Cheez-It Frozen Pizza is currently rolling out at select US retailers including Kroger, Ahold, HEB, Winn-Dixie, Wegmans and Food City for an SRP of between $6.99 to $9.99.
