Leerdammer enters spreadables with new cheese launch

Leerdammer enters spreadables with new cheese launch

Lactalis UK & Ireland has introduced a new spreadable cheese under its Leerdammer brand, marking the brand’s first move beyond its core sliced cheese range.

The Leerdammer Original Spreadable (125g) features the brand’s signature mild and nutty flavour in a soft, smooth format suitable for spreading on sandwiches, bagels and crackers.

The launch aims to broaden Leerdammer’s appeal and tap into new usage occasions, as the brand expands into the spreadable cheese segment.

Heloise Le Norcy-Trott, group marketing director for Lactalis UK & Ireland, commented: “This is a hugely exciting time for Leerdammer as we take the brand into new categories. There is a clear gap in the market for a mild, continental cheese spread and we feel that the ever-popular Leerdammer brand is the perfect fit. We can’t wait to add something new to the spreadable fixture with this launch.”

The product is available at Morrisons stores for an RRP of £1.90.
