Milk Specialties Global rebrands to Actus Nutrition

Milk Specialties Global rebrands to Actus Nutrition

In a move reflecting its expanding role within the health and nutrition sectors, Milk Specialties Global has officially rebranded as Actus Nutrition.

The company says this transition aims to better align its identity with its mission to provide high-quality nutritional ingredients and its commitment to sustainability.

Actus Nutrition, a supplier of protein products, serves 13 out of the top 20 sports nutrition brands, positioning the company to leverage this burgeoning market.

"Actus Nutrition embodies our commitment to responsible sourcing and innovative nutritional solutions," said CEO David Lenzmeier.

The company has reported annual revenues of approximately $1.5 billion, with a double-digit compound annual growth rate over the past five years, underscoring its robust growth trajectory.

Actus Nutrition’s core offerings include whey proteins, milk proteins and casein products, which are integral to a wide array of health and performance products.

The company has transformed whey, traditionally viewed as a byproduct of dairy processing, into a valuable ingredient that supports human health, reflecting a broader trend in the food and beverage industry towards upcycling waste materials.

Actus operates 12 manufacturing facilities across the US, ensuring efficient delivery of its specialised products to a diverse global customer base.

In addition to sports nutrition, Actus Nutrition has expanded its footprint in consumer packaged goods, offering private label products that cater to the growing demand for healthier food options.

Its portfolio includes high-protein snacks and functional ingredients for various food applications, from coffee creamers to frozen meals.

Furthermore, Actus Nutrition is a manufacturer in the pet and livestock nutrition markets, producing milk replacers and supplements designed to enhance animal health and productivity.

As part of its rebranding initiative, Actus Nutrition will unveil its new identity at SupplySide West, taking place from October 28-31, 2024, in Las Vegas.
