Heinz partners with Cathedral City on latest innovation

Heinz partners with Cathedral City on latest innovation

Heinz has teamed up with Saputo Dairy UK’s cheddar brand Cathedral City on its latest innovation, Heinz Cheesy Beanz. The product – classic Heinz baked beans mixed with Cathedral City cheddar – was developed after Heinz’s research revealed that 47% of consumers in the UK said that beans and cheese are one of the best food combinations. Alessandra de Dreuille, director of meals and insights from Heinz, said: “We know Brits absolutely love pairing beans with cheese and so we’re thrilled to finally announce our partnership with Cathedral City – bringing beans lovers up and down the country the ultimate perfect match.” Neil Stewart, head of cheese marketing at Cathedral City, commented: “We're so excited to be teaming up with Heinz to bring this truly unique and delicious flavour to the UK. With 64% of brits agreeing that cheese makes beans even tastier, it feels like a no brainer. We're really looking forward to partnering with another family favourite to provide the nation with the everyday high quality and deliciously tasty meals they know and love.” This is the latest in a series of innovations from the two brands. Last year, Heinz launched a new pickle-flavoured ketchup, as well as tomato ketchup-filled hash browns, a new culinary tomatoes range, a line of hot sauces and its trio of Mayo Mashupz. Cathedral City also rolled out various new products, such as its smoked and red Leicester cheeses and a new toastie in partnership with pickle brand Branston.
