Smoothie brand Innocent Drinks has expanded its range of Super Smoothies in the UK with the launch of its new ‘Blueberry Focus’ flavour. Innocent’s Super Smoothies are a range of functional beverages designed to target specific needs, such as 'Energise' and 'Invigorate'. The new Blueberry Focus variety blends crushed blueberries, strawberries, apples, rhubarb and spirulina with added vitamins and was created to tap into the functional smoothies area – the fastest growing segment within the smoothie category in the UK, according to Innocent. Blueberry Focus has added vitamin B5, which helps with focus and mental clarity, as well as vitamin C, which contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Innocent’s nutritionist Louisa Handley said: “We know more UK consumers are looking for ways to increase their health and wellbeing, with a growing demand for products that offer a positive effect on health beyond basic nutrition. Along with being packed full of fruit and veg, Innocent’s Super Smoothie range is high in added vitamins and contains extra ingredients such as flax seeds, spirulina, and guarana.
