Lidl Ireland has entered a strategic partnership with Kerry Dairy Ireland to develop a new infant formula range under the retailer’s private label.

The collaboration represents a new supply deal worth €2 million between the Irish brands.

Kerry Dairy Ireland will combine its science and nutrition expertise to pioneer infant nutrition solutions that are nourishing and sustainable. The range is manufactured at Kerry Dairy Ireland’s site in Charleville, County Cork.

Tim Gault, commercial director of Kerry Dairy Ireland, said: "As a world leader in sustainable nutrition, and as a household Irish brand, we’re delighted to work with Lidl to expertly develop this new product range. We’re also thrilled to secure a €2 million annual supply deal to bring the range to Lidl shoppers across the island of Ireland through Lidl’s extensive store network.”

Kevin Duffy, CCO of Lidl Ireland & Northern Ireland, added: “We’re very proud to launch our first own brand infant formula range and to do this in conjunction with our valued partner Kerry Dairy Ireland. We know that cost is a significant challenge for many parents choosing to include formula within their baby’s feeding routine. That’s why Lidl has developed its own-brand infant formula range, to offer parents greater choice and accessibility to infant milk and follow on milk at market-leading value.”

Suitable for both combination with breastfeeding and bottle-fed only babies, the infant formula range is available now in Lidl stores across Ireland.
