Lucozade Alert is set to energize the market with the introduction of two new 250ml cans: Lucozade Alert Ultimate Energy and Lucozade Alert Zero Sugar Mango Peachade.
Both flavours will hit shelves in August, catering to consumer demand for smaller, convenient formats.
Lucozade Alert Ultimate Energy features a guarana flavour, marking its debut in the Alert range. Meanwhile, Mango Peachade Zero offers a refreshing zero-sugar option in a compact 250ml can.
These launches are designed to attract new shoppers by providing the right taste and format for retailers’ chillers.
Recent surveys indicate that half of stimulation drink shoppers prefer smaller cans, highlighting a growing consumer trend toward more permissible options. The zero-sugar segment is particularly thriving, with a 26% growth, presenting significant opportunities for retailers.
Aoife McGuigan, head of category expansion at Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I, stated: “We’re investing in the Lucozade Alert range to bring the right formats and flavours to market and drive even more sales for retailers this year".
She added: "Research shows strong demand for smaller cans, with 31% of stimulation drinks now sold in 250ml cans. Our dynamic duo is set to appeal to new shoppers looking for high-caffeine options, so retailers should stock up now to see sales grow!”
The Lucozade Alert range provides consumers with a high-caffeine drink enhanced with vitamin B3 to combat tiredness.
The brand has recently launched its Masterbrand platform, 'Bring the Energy,' aimed at helping individuals rise to challenges and maintain energy in crucial moments. This initiative unifies Lucozade’s three key drinks – Lucozade Energy, Lucozade Sport and Lucozade Alert.
Lucozade Alert Ultimate Energy and Mango Peachade Zero Sugar will retail at an RRP of £1 each, with a price-marked pack (PMP) priced at £0.75.
