Cranswick has acquired sausage manufacturer James T Blakeman & Co for £32 million.

The deal, completed on 16 May 2025, sees Cranswick take full ownership of the Staffordshire-based business. Blakemans, which employs around 290 staff, produces a range of raw and cooked sausage products for the foodservice sector.

The acquisition is expected to boost Cranswick’s production capacity and improve its supply capabilities across the food service market.
