UK-based Ellers Farm Distillery has launched three new flavoured vodkas under its Dutch Barn brand: Black Cherry, Mediterranean Citrus and Balinese Vanilla.
Ellers Farm Distillery, based in Yorkshire and co-owned by comedian Ricky Gervais, aims to provide high-quality and ethical beverage choices for ‘conscientious consumers’ who seek naturally sourced ingredients.
The new flavoured vodkas are crafted by infusing each natural flavour into the 70-times distilled Dutch Barn orchard vodka base, distilled from British apples. The brand’s ‘meticulous’ distillation process and small batch production is designed to provide a high level of control over every stage of the distillation process and an ‘exceptionally smooth’ taste.
Described as being bold in flavour yet smooth in finish, the range aims to offer a high-quality alternative to mass-market-produced flavoured vodkas. The vodkas are free from artificial flavourings and excess sugars.
Black Cherry (38% ABV) contains sweet, sour and red cherries as well as natural almond extract, bringing flavours reminiscent of a Cherry Bakewell Tart.
Mediterranean Citrus (40% ABV) features a combination of fresh lemons, limes and oranges with dried pomelos, oranges and limes, resulting in a zesty flavoured vodka blending sweet flavours with light citrus notes.
Finally, the Balinese Vanilla (38% ABV) offers a blend of vanilla from the island of Bali, with a touch of spice and notes of soft butterscotch.
