British pastry brand Higgidy has launched a new quiche inspired by the flavours of Spanish summer.

The new quiche contains smoky chorizo, slow-roasted red pepper and 'nduja and is encased in a crumbly shortcrust pastry and topped with spicy chorizo and paprika crumb, for extra flavour.

A Higgidy spokesperson told FoodBev: “We are big quiche fans at Higgidy and are really excited to introduce a quiche, especially for the colder months. The smoky chorizo and red pepper flavours are really warming and perfect for a quick weekday meal.”

Designed to serve four, the quiche needs to be cooked for 18 minutes and can be consumed as a main meal.

Higgidy’s Smoky Chorizo and Slow Roasted Red Pepper Quiche is available at Waitrose stores across the UK for an RRP of £4.60 from 18 September with further rollout later in the month.
