NIO Cocktails adds two new beverages to lower-ABV range

NIO Cocktails has introduced two new lower-ABV drinks to its range of bar-quality beverages.

NIO Cocktails, which stands for ‘needs ice only,’ is a premium premixed Italian cocktail brand. The beverages come in small square paper packets, which consumers need to shake, tear and pour over ice.

The first addition is Cosmopolitan Next, a tangy, pink cocktail with delicate floral notes, a sweet-sour cranberry flavour and dry bitterness of Cointreau triple-sec, with a dash of Ketel One Vodka.

Speaking of Cosmopolitan Next, Patrick Pistolesi, NIO’s master mixologist, said: "Thanks to the delicate floral botanicals of MeMento alcohol-free, a skillfully created, lighter take on the original while remaining faithful to its delectable tangy notes. The sweet-sour cranberry heart gradually suffuses to meet the luxurious, dry bitterness of Cointreau triple-sec with a final silky dash of Ketel One Vodka to round out the whole."

The second NPD is White Lady Next, a refreshing 10.8% ABV citrus beverage made with Tanqueray 0.0%. Pistolesi added: "This is a true next-generation statement cocktail that you can sip without having to bring your evening to a close too soon. As with our other popular core Nexts, it comes in at 10.8% so you’re free to top up if you like. It’s a modern twist on the evergreen White Lady that leaves a deliciously tangy aftertaste."

The two new additions join NIO’s other lower-ABV drinks, Margarita Next and Negroni Next. It has been a busy year for NIO, which has introduced two new ranges of cocktails, inspired by Hawaii and Italian cafe culture, respectively.
