Aldi has launched a new line of high-protein ice cream tubs in the UK, available in two flavours.

The new Kri Kri High Protein Ice Cream – launching in ‘Chocolate Hype’ and ‘Peanut Butter Load’ flavours – contain 24g of protein per 450ml tub, aiming to deliver a protein boost in the form of a tasty sweet treat.

The Chocolate Hype offering features chocolate ice cream with chocolate-flavoured syrup and brownie pieces, while Peanut Butter Load contains peanut butter ice cream with caramel-flavoured syrup and brownie pieces.

Aldi has priced the tubs at £2.25, aiming to meet demand for affordable high-protein options as it expands its range to offer its largest variety of high-protein products yet.

The company pointed out that the tubs can offer a more affordable alternative to other brands, noting a £1.75 cost saving (38% per 100ml) compared with popular active nutrition brand MyProtein’s salted caramel ice cream tubs (£4 per 500ml).

The tubs are available in-store now as part of Aldi’s protein products range.
