Impossibrew, a London-based innovator in the non-alcoholic beverage sector, has successfully completed a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube, raising over £1.2 million – more than double its initial target of £500,000.

This funding round has attracted significant interest from investors, highlighting the growing demand for functional alcohol-free options in the beverage market.

The crowdfunding initiative, which was live for just a few weeks, has garnered £1,284,151 from 836 investors, demonstrating an enthusiastic response from the community.

The pre-money valuation for Impossibrew stands at £12 million, underscoring the company’s strong market position and growth potential. The funds raised will be allocated towards strategic customer acquisition, retention efforts and the continuous innovation of its products, particularly the patent-pending Social Blend technology.

Impossibrew has carved out a niche in the competitive non-alcoholic beverage market with its enhanced beers, designed not only for taste but also to promote relaxation. Using its proprietary Social Blend technology, the company combines natural nootropics and adaptogens to create a drinking experience that mimics the sensations of traditional beer without the alcohol.

Founder Mark Wong emphasises that this innovation provides consumers with a compelling third choice beyond merely “drinking” or “not drinking”.

The crowdfunding success comes on the heels of impressive sales figures during Dry January 2025, with the company expecting to double its sales from £340,000 in January 2024 to approximately £700,000 this month.

"January has always been our strongest month, but we're seeing sustained growth year-round as more people embrace mindful drinking and seek enhanced alcohol alternatives," added Wong. "They're not just looking for alcohol-free beer – they want the complete experience that an enhanced beer can provide."

This growth trajectory is indicative of a broader trend, as the global non-alcoholic beverage market is projected to grow at an annual rate of 8.56%, with non-alcoholic drinks expected to outpace alcoholic options by 2026.

With the additional capital, Impossibrew plans to enhance its product distribution and expand its retail presence across the UK. The company aims to build a world-class team to support its ambitious growth plans, focusing on establishing strategic partnerships to increase market reach.

The success of this funding round is also aligned with changing consumer behaviours. Recent studies indicate that 32% of Britons are reducing their alcohol intake, with a significant portion of drinkers seeking alternatives that provide the social experience without the downsides of alcohol.

Impossibrew addresses this market need directly, with over 70% of customers reporting relaxation effects after consuming its products.
