Pringles launches first-ever puffed snack in tubeless packaging

Pringles launches first-ever puffed snack in tubeless packaging

Kellanova-owned brand Pringles has launched its first-ever puffed crisps, Pringles Mingles, marking a departure from its traditional tube packaging by opting for a bagged snack. Pringles Mingles, an entirely new format for the brand, provides a crispy, light melt-in-the-mouth snack. Each bite-sized puff fuses two Pringles flavours in a bowtie-style shape. Launching in three flavours, Cheddar & Sour Cream gives consumers hints of buttery cheddar cheese with creamy, tangy sour cream notes; Sharp White Cheddar & Ranch, a sharp, aged white cheddar cheese flavour combined with buttermilk and herb ranch notes; and Dill Pickle & Ranch a zesty dill pickle flavour mingled with buttermilk and herby ranch notes. Mauricio Jenkins, US marketing lead for Pringles, said: “Our iconic Pringles can is part of our identity – and it’s not going anywhere – but we’re always looking for new ways to innovate and satisfy our fans’ latest cravings. This puffy, airy snack not only gives fans a new way to experience Pringles, but its easy-to-share packaging creates a new way to enjoy their favourite snack with friends and family, whether munching at home for movie night, at a party or on the go.” This is the latest in a number of innovations from the Pringles brand. In February, Pringles unveiled five new spicy flavours and in January the brand announced it had redesigned its classic tube to increase its sustainability, replacing the bottom with a paper-based alternative. In August last year, Pringles introduced a new 'Everything Bagel' flavour and launched new sweet potato- and multigrain-based chips in June. Pringles Mingles will be available to purchase later in the year from retailers across the US.
