UK high-protein meal brand The Gym Kitchen has expanded into the instant noodles category with a new line, debuting this month in Asda.

The new instant noodle pots – available in ‘Curry’ and ‘Chicken & Mushroom’ flavours – each contain at least 23g of protein, with a maximum of 288 kcal. They aim to cater to busy consumers with active lifestyles, ready to eat in under five minutes.

Over the past 18 months, The Gym Kitchen has expanded into multiple categories including frozen ready meals, pizzas, ambient pulse and grains, yogurts, desserts and food-to-go. Innovation across categories is a major part of the brand’s growth strategy, with this brand-new launch marking its latest milestone.

Segun Akinwoleola, founder of The Gym Kitchen, commented: “In a world where convenience often comes with a downfall in nutrition, our new noodle pots fill a crucial gap in the market and we’re here to shake up the category. We recognise the importance of providing our loyal customers with a convenient meal option that doesn't compromise on quality or taste.”

The pots are rolling out across Asda stores this week, with further listings to follow in July, at a RRP of £1.60 for 64g.
