Shaken Udder expands protein milkshake range with white chocolate flavour

UK-based premium milkshake brand Shaken Udder is set to launch a new White Chocolate flavour as part of its growing Protein Range. This new variant will hit the shelves of selected Sainsbury’s stores on 23 September and is already available in select Tesco locations.

The White Choc protein milkshake contains 20g of protein and is crafted from high-quality ingredients, including Belgian chocolate. The product is shelf-stable, eliminating the need for chilled storage and making it suitable for a variety of retail settings, including grocery multiples.

Jo Abram, marketing director at Shaken Udder, said: “We’re delighted to introduce a new flavour, White Choc, to the range to satisfy the taste buds of chocolate lovers who are also seeking protein”.

According to market research, white chocolate ranks as the third most purchased flavour in the protein shake category, indicating strong potential demand for the new product.

Shaken Udder first launched its Protein Range in April 2024, targeting health-conscious consumers who desire flavourful protein options without artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners.

A recent study by Waitrose reveals that a third of consumers actively seek high-protein foods, with 12% having adjusted their diets in the past year to increase protein intake.

The UK protein market is projected to grow nearly 30% over the next five years, underscoring a significant opportunity for brands like Shaken Udder to capture market share.

Shaken Udder was established in 2004 as an event-based venture providing premium milkshakes to festival-goers and has since expanded its distribution to major retailers, including Harvey Nichols, Waitrose and Harrods.
