US cider brand Angry Orchard has unveiled several new offerings ahead of the festive season, including a new high-ABV flavour. Crisp Imperial clocks in at 8% ABV, offering the brand’s classic Crisp Apple flavour with an ‘added edge.’ Described by Angry Orchard as easy drinking and refreshing, Crisp Imperial aims to cater to the growing demand for high-ABV ciders and is rolling out nationwide in six-pack cans. It will be a permanent, year-round addition to the brand’s portfolio. Angry Orchard is also launching a new limited-edition festive variety pack, The Knotty Bunch, containing three brand-new styles alongside its classic Crisp Apple product. Crisp Light offers the same taste of Crisp Apple but with less sugar, calories and lower ABV. It contains just 6g of sugar, at 4.3% ABV per 12oz serving. Cranberry Pomegranate features real fruit juice from two classic winter fruits blended with apple, while a new ginger-flavoured style is described as ‘apple-forward with a nice balance of spicy, natural ginger,’ both at 5% ABV. Joe Gaynor, cider maker at Angry Orchard, said: “Coming together with friends and family this season is a great opportunity to explore new flavours of the season – cider included”. “Whether you're looking for a cider that packs a bold punch, need something a bit lighter, or want to play with seasonal flavours, we've got a cider to satisfy any palate this season.”
