Crosse & Blackwell has released a new line of condensed soups, marking the brand's entry into the category. According to Crosse & Blackwell, the brand is providing its renowned soup quality in a condensed format. The range consists of three classic flavours: Cream of tomato, cream of mushroom and cream of chicken. Jeremy Gibson, marketing director at Princes, which owns Crosse & Blackwell, said: “This is exactly the right time for Crosse & Blackwell to make its move into the condensed soup category, especially given the growth it’s experienced in the last year”. He continued: “Understanding consumer behaviour and the way attitudes are changing towards soup to become not only a meal but an ingredient was essential to the end-to-end development and marketing of this new range”. Additionally, the brand is extending its core lineup by introducing two additional flavours: Tomato and minestrone. Crosse & Blackwell's condensed soups are available at Asda, Co-op and Morrisons stores for an RRP of £1.25.
